How French politicians saw Maggie

Francois Hollande says, " She was a great figure who had left a profound mark on the history of her country. "
Jean Marc Ayrault  says "a great head of state, who caused significant economic and social damage through excessive liberalisation."
Jean Luc Melenchon tweeted " she would discover in hell what she had done to the miners."
Jacques Chirac made this appalling statement in 1988 " what does she want this housewife? My balls on a tray" This is the sort of statement that makes you realize why Margaret was such a strong person, she must have encountered that treatment from her own Parliamentarians and other world politicians. Thank heavens things are (slowly) changing. Whatever you felt about her politics most of us respected her achievements in altering the perceptions of how women's roles were changing.
Malc likes Mitterand's comment years go " She has the lips of Marilyn Monroe and the eyes of Caligula"
