I want your feedback

Val,
A very interesting theory.  But "150,000 views" and "75,000 people" are not necessarily comparable. I suspect the latter might be based on printing/circulation/sales/distribution figures, whereas the former is presumably based on how many times your blog is visited. Some avid followers might visit your blog on almost a daily basis, so just one individual can account for around 350 views per annum.
Advertising is fine, and exists in various guises in many blogs.  But are you talking about raising money for causes close to your heart? If not, would you intend to canvass the views of your entire readership about what charities to support - and how would you make the final decision?
TAG already contains many adverts and recommendations.  They include local businesses/individuals, people who can do things to help others, personal sales and wants and charitable activities/ causes. I have always assumed this to be the greatest part of TAG's appeal - certainly for local people. How would you decide who deserves a free mention and who should pay?
If you decide to make charges for advertising (discreet or otherwise), would you need to have some sort of formal organisation with a legally-recognised structure and accounting procedures?
All the above seems very negative, but is intended to be helpful.

All very valid points, a lot to consider and in the end may decide to leave it as it is. But I am never one to be faint hearted,so let us see what the overall response is.
On the circulation figures at least I know that people have looked at the blog, of the magazine figures as it is a free give away do we know how many people bother to look at it?
Love Val
