The venerable French historian Jean-Louis Crémieux-Brilhac was instrumental in the production of this documentary and it's my understanding that this was the first time that SOE and the Allied support in general had ever been so strongly featured in a French television documentary about 'la Résistance'.
Jean-Louis had previously written the foreword for the version in French of Prof Michael Foot's 'SOE In France' - Des Anglais dans la Résistance: Le Service Secret Britannique d'Action (SOE) en France 1940-1944 which was finally published in France in 2008 … more than forty years after its publication in Britain!
