We really think our kestrels have moved in. Malc and I have both seen one kestrel taking wiggly things and a mouse in to the hole. Which makes us think the male is feeding the mother sitting on the nest. The nasty magpies have not been about in great numbers this year and we wondered if cutting the hedge and trees where they nested at the bottom of the garden has made them move somewhere else. Whatever is happening, visits are frequent and the pleasure we have as the kestrel swoops past the salon window is amazing.
